Your responsibilities

As a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical development and performance of one or more complex subsystems.

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Translating system-level performance requirements into subsystem concepts, functional architectures and detailed engineering specifications.
2. Taking technical ownership of mechatronic development projects, from initial concept through design, integration and production release.
3. Defining and optimizing motion systems, sensors, actuators, control strategies and system integration solutions.
4. Making critical engineering decisions and balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost.
5. Working closely with System Architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of complex systems.
6. Leading technical discussions, design reviews and engineering decision-making within multidisciplinary project teams.
7. Coaching and supporting fellow engineers, sharing technical knowledge and reviewing designs, simulations and integration strategies.
8. Contributing to long-term technology roadmaps and identifying opportunities for innovation and system improvements.
9. Supporting industrialization, system validation, testing and the transition into series production.
10. Ensuring that developed subsystems meet demanding technical specifications throughout their lifecycle.

What we are looking for

You are an experienced engineer with a strong systems-oriented mindset and a passion for precision engineering.

Your qualifications and experience:

1. A Master's degree or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechatronic system development, subsystem architecture or complex machine development.
3. Extensive knowledge of motion control, system dynamics, vibrations, sensing, actuation and precision mechanics.
4. Experience translating high-level system requirements into functional architectures and practical engineering solutions.
5. A proven track record of working on multidisciplinary development projects, preferably from concept through industrialization and production.
6. Experience with modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, FEM and Python.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to engineering.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide technical guidance to other engineers.
9. A proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of complex engineering challenges.
10. Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
